Well folks, seems to us that Asia's role vis-v-vis Planet Earth is rapidly becoming analogous to California's supposed role vis-a-vis the United States: it LEADS THE WAY. Just as trends allegedly originate in and emanate from the Golden State to the other 49 -- so, it would seem, do Asian ways radiate to the rest of the world. If this hypothesis is true, we would do well to look carefully at what is happening these days in Shanghai and Mumbai and, yeah, even Dubai -- to see whats' a comin' down the pike.
